Living Water Ranch Benefit Auction

The 2011 Living Water Ranch Benefit Auction for the Teen Reach Adventure Camps and Fort Riley Project, was a huge success!

The 90 guests in attendance were able to bid on 31 items auctioned off on Saturday, January 29, 2011.  From wheel alignments to half a hog, there was something for everyone that wished to take something home and help out two very worthy causes in the bargain.

The evening began with those attending browsing the items up for bid and enjoying a time of visiting and fellowship.

Tables were decorated in a Kansas Day theme - since the 150th anniversary of the founding of Kansas as a state was on January 29, 1861.  Centerpieces were beautifully done in sunflowers and wheat, then were auctioned off at the end of the evening.

A wonderful meal of Chicken Cordon Bleu, twice-baked potatoesIMG_01921.JPG, green beans, dinner salad & cheesecake, all prepared by LWR staff, was served by some very energetic young people who are friends of the ministry.

All were entertained before the meal with background music provided by Terry Glanville, what a blessing Terry's talent is!  During the auction Terry also played some entertaining dittys between items being auctioned.

When the auction was over, folks lingered a while to visit and congratulate one another on their successful bids.  The final total raised was just under $6500.00!

We are so thankful for the tremedous response to this first ever auction and look forward to seeing some familiar faces, and some new at the next auction which will be held January 28, 2012 so mark you calendars!
